Teaching Your Students How to Count Money in Special Education

Happy Sunday, friends! End of the year home stretch is HERE – you’re almost to the finish line!

Do you use the touch money method in your classroom? When I worked on money counting skills with my students, I always used the touch money method to introduce the skill. Counting groups of coins is a tough skill and this method always made the process a lot less confusing for my students.

I just did a complete overhaul of my best-selling Touch Money Worksheets and I wanted to give you a look inside!

Included in the resource you’ll find money worksheets with touchpoints & without. As your students master using the touchpoints, you can then use the worksheets without them. There is a cut/paste option included for non-writers (or just another version!) and a write in the answer option.

There are a variety of other money related worksheets AND a fun money bingo game to play with your students! We used to play bingo ALL. THE. TIME. in my classroom. Such a fun & easy way to practice a skill – the kids loved it!

I have a variety of touch money resources that are helpful to reinforce learning in various ways such as file folders, clip cards, scoot, and adapted books. You can actually grab all 6 products in the Touch Money Bundle! Check it out if your classroom is in need of a variety of resources! Questions about using touch money?! Leave them in the comments!
